We thank Swiss Tesla Owners Club organizers for allowing us to attend their event. The 40 or so members present were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed meeting the other Tesla owners and sharing stories. Good to see such enthusiasm. They have over 45 events per year. At this one they had spent Saturday night at a winery. They then drove through the beautiful winding mountain roads to the final activity, the lunch where we joined them. The delicious food was accompanied by great wine provided by a Tesla owner who also owns Cave du Rhodan winery.
After the event we drove through an amazing mountain range and through the valleys, passing beautiful lakes and dams, we were just as excited about the energy graph on the Tesla main screen, as we were about the beautiful scenery. The green battery regeneration portion of the graph was larger than the orange output portion for 30 minutes from the glacier to our Hotel. The miles remaining on the battery kept going up!
We hope to keep in touch with the new Tesla friends in the Swiss Alps.
In Switzerland customized or special EV license plates are not allowed so a collage such as the one below which we made from the Willamsburg, Virginia Tesla RoadTrip would not be possible as it is in the USA.
